Annoying more than anything

on start up recently i get this it only lasts about 3 seconds then just continues to windows xp but i like everything perfect lol:grin: so i would rather it not be there on boot up any one know how to stop it and just a nice clean start up ?

easy way is to edit your BOOT.INI file.

Beware though, just erase the one you dont want.

try that...always back it up on a cd or something so you can replace it if it goes all screwed up

on regedit ? , how do i know what one

your boot file..should say windows XP
then have another one saying recovery console

just Open BOOT.ini in notepad
erase the recovery console bit

but remember save it somewhere safe before hand

For a safer way . . Try this . . Click on Start . . Run . . type msconfig . . click on the Boot Ini tab and click on Check all boot paths . . if it comes back with one is invalid, click Fix invalid boot paths

he just wants to get rid of the recovery option..lol i would say safer to keep there..
incase it goes tits up, but i just set mine to 1 second and let it boot
