amptron K7-825LM - linux compatible?

2018 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  tomtom
All,

I want to build a Linux box with an amptron K7-825LM and I could not find anything about linux compatibility of this mobo. I would like to know if the onboard video, audio, LAN and modem work under a recent distro of linux (Mandrake 8.3 or 9.0). The amptron site did not have drivers for Linux on their site. Also, google searches did not bring up anything.

Anyone running Linux on this board with the onboard audio, video and lan running under linux(modem is not that important to me)???

Thanks,

Tom Minor

Welcome to Tech Support Forums tomtom.................:D
whoops :D

I meant to say welcome to ...
The compatibility info. was not on the mandrake site. I could not find anything on the web about linux compatibility. I was in email contact with a support person from amptron, and he said that the board and all the components are compatible with Linux.

So, I will be purchasing a machine with this board. Hopefully, all will work.

Thanks all for replying.

Here is the email without the full addresses.
