This is just a question that came to my mind today when I saw an Intel commercial.

Why dosen't AMD ever advertise? I dont think I have ever seen an advertisement for AMD other than a magizine and I think thats even pretty rare. Then again I dont read much :winkgrin:

But why dont they?

They don't need to.... the have a superior product, people know it, and to spend the money on advertising might up their costs... then they'd be in the same category as Intel, just looking much worse since they went quality rather than quantity in terms of Mhz... so to the average consumer AMD doesn't look as good.... but if they stay how they are, humble, superior, and cheaper, they won't need to bother with ads.

AMD lets their resellers do alot of advertising for them. I know we do. Alot of us that promote it use the products in the systems we sell. That's were 75% of there business comes from. To quote Valiant They just don't need to. They've got a great product and that sells itself.
