So, I am going to invest in a new GPU but I think I have the same problem as much people looking for a new one. Im not really sure what to buy i would like a GTX 670 FTW but when you compare it to the HD 7970 you see little differences on them. Any sugestions or feedback i can hear about this new GPU's. how are drivers working and performance on other applications not just games? and also if I go AMD witch brand is a good choice to take?.

Thanks for your time :)

There are, and always have been little differences between AMD and nVidia chipsets. It simply boils down to brand preference, price, or maybe even just a specific game you are wanting.

As for the actual brand..the same applies. Personal brand preference, price, and/or warranty.

As above ^
The choice is primarily a personal one.
My only gripe with AMD is their infrequent update issues but updates are rarely needed anyway.

The driver issues are infrequent and drivers updates are rarely needed so I wouldn't let that sway your decision.

yeah that true, I'm not really letting driver issue get on the way to make the last decision but on support area it is.. we all know Nvidia has a very good support. but it all ends up in what kind of games you play.. you guys know if there a performance difference when using Adobe software's?.

Hi Enanobp,

From what I remember Nividia used to have the edge in terms of sheer graphics potential, however nowadays AMD is giving them a run for their money. AMD used to be the more power conservative; however since the release of the GTX 600 series cards, Nividia have created competition in that asepct too.

In terms of brands, I would say go with Sapphire for AMD and EVGA for Nividia. The way I see it is that both those companies primarily focus on video cards, so it makes sense for them to provide top notch support and quality products.

Sapphire or Asus for AMD chips and EVGA or Asus for Nvidia chips.

You're welcome. I noticed you are using a poor quality Rosewill PSU. It would be advisable to replace that with a food quality PSU "before" adding a dedicated GPU.

SeaSonic or XFX for insured quality.
650W will be fine for almost all top tier GPU's.
