Hello, I hope I've chosen the right category.
I'm having problems with my AMD R9 380X and the AMD drivers. (it works with the standard vga driver)
If I activate the driver, I'm getting a message which I think translated would be something like "display driver "AMD driver" was recovered after an error". Additionally, the screen gets black and a few seconds later back to normal and I see the application crashing. (this is happening in about every application like opera or FurMark or any game)
This first happened while playing GTA V, I even tried reinstalling Windows 7, but this does not fix the issue. I think it's not caused by the graphics card, since with Ubuntu, everything works fine. But I've searched dmesg for errors and found this, but I'm not sure if it is relevant:
drm:dce_v10_0_afmt_setmode [amdgpu]] *ERROR* Couldn't read SADs: 0
(I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 with amdgpu driver)
Anyway, I don't understand why this even happens after reinstalling the system, as it already worked a few months ago.
By the way, I built the computer myself, but the setup should be correct.
(I've used the latest drivers, which is the crimson 16.3.2)
I'm sorry for my bad english skills.
Thanks for any help.
