Hi,

I recently purchased a Socket A; AMD Athlon XP 2600+ processor and motherboard. I also bought a new fan and heatsink for use with this processor, which I got a good deal on. The heatsink is supposedley for an AMD XP 3000+ processor, but I'm assuming it will work with mine (2600)?

Is there any reason why this heatsink and fan wouldn't be suitable for my board and processor? If everything fits ok, is there any reason why I shouldn't use it?

I appreciate anyone who can help. Thanks.
