The AMD Athlon 64, is coming! it is a 64bit processor not a 32bit processor like the intel pentium 4. And the new athlon 64 will be using the "Hyper Transporting" technology (Not Hyper Threading)
They said it will be backwards compatible the release date some time before the year ends.............

The 64bit AMD Opteron has been out for awhile now you should find some reviews/benchmarks there interesting.

The Opteron using the Hammer core started with a 1MB cache, i wonder what the Athlon 64 will have.

Good Motherboard for the 64?

I've interested in hearing peoples experiences with Motherboards that support the new AMD 64bit processor.
I’ve read some good things about the Asus boards with the NVIDIA chip set. But would like to hear more from mroe people that have had experiences with this new chip.
