My system was: AMD 5600+ X2 2.9GHz
2GB DDR2 RAM
ASUS EAH3450 512MB GC

In the begining I had no problems but recently I started to have problems: while playing games every 5-10 min my game was becoming sluggish for 20-30 sec and then resuming normally more often and longer when more graphics was shown (same for games which were running smoothly before). First I thought that it is because of my graphic card or RAM so I upgraded it by buying newer ASUS EAH4670 with 1GB DDR3 and also adding 1GB of RAM more but problem continued even with old games which I should be able to run smoothly even with much slower PC.
Interesting thing is also that I didn't had such problems before but just recently..

have you checked the drivers for the graphical card ? are to up to date
did you change a setting or updated something just before the problems started out?

Yep I checked drivers and installed new ones and as I already told I even changed graphic card.. And no I wasnt upgrading anything at that time..

i asked about the drivers because you have changed the card
windows update is not set to automatic just check just in case

other wise you could run a stress test on the pc to rule out hardware
you could also remove the old ram module to rule out that module since you put in a second one next to it, it could be that the old one is defective

I have uninstalled old and installed new drivers for new card.
how can I run stress test??
I tried with removing old RAM, didn't worked.

I am starting to think that it is connected to processor..

it could be cpu but it would show up then with a stress like above

Yesterday I have checked and it seams that it is processor overheating problem.. I was checking temperature and it was heating quite fast till 65C an then somehow it was automatically turning off for 20-30 sec till it cools to 60C and then resuming normally till it reaches 65C again and repeating the procedure

does anybody knows is this a problem and possibly how to solve it??

-check your cpu fan if its connected properly onto the cpu

-take the cpu fan off and check if there is still cooling paste present on the cpu fan / cpu

-if both dont work i suggest to get an other cpu fan wich arent that much

Actually I was dusting it before but I was more concentrating on GC I didn't payed attention to processor Ill o all sugestions tonight since i am on work now and post results..

Just to inform you.. I have solve problem by turning off quiet & cool and by underlocking my processor to 2.7Ghz
