Welcome any thoughts and assistance as to whether I'm on the right track, as I'm new to building PC's. I already have a nice case, and am looking for a good quality system under $1000. Will be used for strategy gaming, roleplaying (Shogun 2: Total War, DragonAge 2, etc.) and home photo/video editing (nothing too strenuous). Will likely keep things at stock settings. What is most opaque to me are memory, motherboards and power. Below is what I've pieced together from Newegg. Is there synergy here? Tks so much for any assistance and advice.
