i gave up with suse forums because no one answers and this is the best tech forum ever made, so ya.........

ok, i was installing the alsa with exacting the files that they used.http://www.alsa-project.org/~valentyn/Alsa-sound-mini-HOWTO-4.html#ss4.1
i get down to the lib on extracting and it says :tar: A lone zero block at 2500 that is my first problem. so i go on......(hjs is my network)
i start to install the driver and i get errors on lib more! here are (the ones in bond are the errors unless i missed any):

and i stopped here because i couldn't get any farther can any one help me please????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure alsa comes pre-installed in suse...i'll do a little research. what are your options in the sound card configuration area?

i guess alsa does come with it but the sound still doesnt work?????????
please research it thank you!!!!!!!!!!
