Im getting quite a bit of stutter when new textures are loading up regardless of what game.

* Crysis - pan quickly to the right or left or enter an new area and it freezes for a second and then instantly run perfect again.

* LOTRO - same deal. bunch of trees and buildings load up I get a quick freeze and then it`s smooth till I hit the next batch of things

* Company of Heroes - harder to notice in this but if I quickly pan right across the whole map I`ll get a quick stutter as well.

* Oblivion - same deal as LOTRO

What I`ve tried:

* This happens regardless of graphic options. Absolute low to the most high its exactly the same.

* All Drivers are up to date. Tried older drivers as well.

* Bare minimum of services running.

* Tried overclocking, tried underclocking.

* Increased Pagefile, Reduced Pagefile, No pagefile.

* Fresh Install of Windows (dual boot on vista and xp and problem occurs regardless of OS.

* And I defragged

I've include pictures of the performance monitor include with Vista for those who can spot abnormalities.

Hi, welcome to TSF

Resource Monitor is showing a high number of hard faults/sec in the Memory window.

"A hard fault (also known as a page fault) occurs when the page of the referenced address is no longer in physical memory and has been swapped out or is available from a backing file on disk. It is not an error. However, a high number of hard faults may explain the slow response time of an application if it must continually read data back from disk rather than from physical memory."

Please post your full system specs.

ok this is not software but sounds to be hardware and most people would get it especially if your quickly, quickly means it has to render more polygons per second putting more strain on the gpu's core and memory meaning, that it attempts to render more objects at one time meaning the strain on the video card is kinda high essentially slowing it down to put it in milder terms.
