Alienware new M17x sudden death

I have a 2-months olds Alienware M17x. I never shown any signs of problems, until...

Suddenly, after about 5 minutes after I had turned it on, it simply blacked out. It was running on the battery at the moment. I tried to turn it on again but nothing happens.

Then, I tried to plug it in the power adapter and a curious thing happened. The LED on the adapter goes off as soon as I plug the machine to it. Of course, it does not turns on. I removed the battery and the same behavior happens.

The battery lights show that it is fully charged. And there's not the slightest smell of burnt circuits (not that it means anything).

I'm trying to contact Alienware support, but the support by email was deactivated. There are some US and Europe toll-free numbers, but I'm in Brazil and I can't call them. I'm still trying to contact them, but, in the meanwhile, can anybody explain to me what might have happened?
