Hello, RoxyEmmyShaped. Thank you for being patient while I reviewed your log!

Important: Copy this page into Notepad & save it. You may also want to print out a copy of these instructions in case you are unable to access Notepad during the fix. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order they are presented. If there is anything that you don't understand, ask me about it before proceeding with the fixes. It is important to close all browsers (Internet Explorer, My Computer, etc.) or windows when you are running any scans, tools, or HJT.

  1. Relocate HijackThis:
You are running Hijack This from a temporary directory. It needs to be in a permanent folder, BEFORE YOU PROCEED. Please go into Windows Explorer, click on C:\ then click on File > New > Folder and call it HJT , or another name of your choice. The program creates backup files that we may need to use later. If the program is in a Temporary folder, files may be deleted by you or automatically if your system is set to empty temp files.

  2. Support.com

Spyware from SupportSoft provided to manufacturers, such as Sony (Vaio Support Agent) and Toshiba (Virtual Tech), and ISPs, such as Comcast, Cox and Charter (Pipeline Support Agent), that allows them to offer on-line support. This part ensures that software is installed correctly. Regarded as spyware as it has the ability to retrieve user information. I would ask your ISP on how to remove it and why they installed it in the first place. Please do not uninstall the program, since it looks like it is required for your internet connection. This especially applies to those who use SBC as their ISP (Internet Service Provider). If they can't/won't resolve this problem for you, then it's time to switch to a provider that doesn't embed spyware in their programs. You will most likely also have BroadJump installed. The same situation applies here also. Try to find out how to remove it from your ISP. Don't uninstall it yourself.

  3. Disable Interfering Programs

Some applications prevent HJT and the tools we are about to use from successfully removing certain entries. Please disable the following programs for the duration of the fix. You can re-enable them when your log is clean.

Norton Security Suite – especially Script Blocker, & NProtect (Recycle Bin Protection)

  4. Downloads:

    CleanUp!
The Temp folders are a popular place for malware to hide out, plus installation programs tend to leave a lot of junk in there. Download and install CleanUp! to clean out your temps, but do not run it yet.

    KillBox v2.0.0.175
Download & save to Desktop, do not run it yet.

  5. Program Removals:

Uninstall the following via “Add/Remove”, if they still exist. (Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs)

    My Web Search Bar
    Fun Web Products Easy Installer

  6. HiJackThis Entries:

Run a scan in HijackThis. Place a check mark next to the following entries if they still exist:

  8. Optional Removal:

Weatherbug has a history of delivering adware & malware. I suggest you uninstall it. If you installed it yourself & are okay with what it does, then you may keep it. However I would suggest at least considering an alternative such as WeatherWatcherhttp://www.singerscreations.com/Software.asp[/url, or TheWeatherChannel.com's Desktop Weather.

If you choose to remove it, do the following:
    • Go into Add/Remove Programs and uninstall WeatherBug

    • Fix the following entry in HJT:
      O9 - Extra button: WeatherBug - {AF6CABAB-61F9-4f12-A198-B7D41EF1CB52} - C:\Program Files\AWS\WeatherBug\Weather.exe (file missing) (HKCU)

    • Delete the following FOLDER:
      C:\Program Files\AWS\

  9. Run Cleanup!

    Configure the program as follows:
    1. Click Options...
    2. Move the arrow down to Custom CleanUp!
    3. Put a check next to the following:
      • Empty Recycle Bins
      • Delete Cookies
      • Delete Prefetch files
      • [X]Scan local drives for temporary files (Please uncheck this option)
      • Cleanup! All Users
    4. Click OK
