Hello all and thank you for any insight into my problem

I built my desktop in 2008 and for the most part its held up pretty well. Starting in the fall I began experiencing display issues. Desktop windows would freeze as i moved them around the screen or webpages would stick as I scroll down. Strange colours and artifacts would appear on the monitors (i have dual screens) and eventually the display would crash. Either it would come back and the loop would repeat itself, or I'd get a BSOD.

In the fall I tried using a friend's GPU to see if that was the cause, but the problem persisted. At the start of this year I decided to install Windows 10 on a new SSD. I hoped a fresh install would help in some way but no.

Since moving to Windows 10, I get a variety of BSOD notifications but googling for help doesn't work. I've attached the logs as requested

CPU: intel Q6600
GPU: ATI 4870
Motherboard: Asus p5q pro
64 bit

Can I breath life back into my machine?

Hi. . .

The 10 dumps had varying bugchecks (different STOP error codes), which is indicative of unknown hardware failure.

One of the dumps even blamed hardware:
Code:
Probably caused by : hardware ( REGION_PAGED_OUT )
"REGION_PAGED_OUT" refers to memory. However, it could be actual RAM or virtual memory (page file). As you probably know, "pages" of kernel code in RAM are constantly swapped or unloaded ("paged") to disk (page file), then when needed are loaded back into RAM for the CPUs use.

ATI video was mentioned by one dump as the probable cause. The others all listed either encrypted-like CPU instructions as the probable cause or Microsoft drivers (which are listed by default as the system can't figure out what to blame).

The extent of my hardware experience is once replacing a HDD and RAM in my laptop. I've never built a system or fully opened one up. I sit on the software side of the fence.

There is no one area of hardware that the dumps seem to point to.

All I can do is suggest you to run some hardware diagnostic programs -

You also need to look at the motherboard, PSU, voltages, and all other hardware parts. It could be anything.

Regards. . .

I would start with the RAM then any piece of hardware that can affect RAMs ability to properly hold kernel code - like voltages (PSU).

Video card would be next on my list based on your statements.
