Ok, thanks for the help emosun!

so i get the GeForce 8800 and the new psu would it be safe to say I could play all of the new gen games like turok, call of duty 4, crysis on high and be running smoothly?

id rather not build a new system for another yr or so but i certainly dont mind spending a few bucks to get this one running nicely.

Thanks

The pentium 4 in your system is a big limiting factor. But you should be able to play new games smoothly for about a year or so till you buy a new machine.

even though its running @ 3.6ghz ? if i get 10 mos of good use out of this thing ill be happy...even still if i get the 8800gts its SLI ready so I can just buy a second one and drop it in the new system...and im sure the 650w psu will be fine as well

Its only as single core running at 3.6 ghz with a low fsb. Also , the only reason I recommended that specific 8800 was because it would for sure work in your pc because its not pci-e 2.0. Other then that I usually don't recommend them , and wouldn't recommend buying another one. They tend to run hot and are not as fast as the g92 revision.
