It may have "shorted" the contacts in the USB port (USB ports carry a voltage, allbeit a small amount). You should have it looked at by a laptop repair centre.
Advent Laptop will not turn on!
2 days ago I accidently went to put my iPod usb in round the wrong way; obviously it wouldn’t go in properly....
removed it and lap top powered off immediately and will not turn on now, not showing as charging either although charger is working fine (tried on sisters same laptop)
I didn’t force USB in - was barely in at all! Any advice on how to remedy this/ why it’s happened??
