Have just had an ads line installed at home, it works on my wife's pc but not on my Mac or iPad. What do I do?

Adsl and mac's

I, can anybody give me some suggestions. I have just had a adsl installed at home. It works fine on my wife's PC laptop but I can't get anything on my MacBook pro or iPad! It looks like its connected but it doesn't up or download anything. The wheel of death just keeps spinning!! Has anybody had this problem?

Ja, they put in a duo plus 300. It works fine if I use the ethernet cable to my wife's pc laptop, but nothing if I plug into my Mac book. My iPad says its connected and shows the connection, but nothing down or uploads. It was put in by telkom.Any ideas? Thanks

Have you contacted them for service? If they just put it in, they need to make sure it works.

It works for the pc and there is a cd but that only works for pc not Mac. They know nothing about setting it up for a Mac!

It sounds like you just have a modem, and not a router. A router is needed to split the internet with more than one computer.

It has 4 Ethernet inputs and a wireless light and an Internet light. Sorry, Jan it is a modem. I am not very up to date, tech wise, oops sorry

Plugging the Mac in one of the ethernet ports doesn't get you to the web?

No, it looks like it connects but it doesn't? Now the modem doesn't even get a signal, so Telekom are sending a technician
