I have screens that automatically refresh. I am not running a movie.
But, I keep getting an error: "A Script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 9 to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script."
Sometimes it happens right away, sometimes it runs for a while before the error comes up.

Hello drewdell, Welcome to TSF!

Please try this 'fix' for your issue...

Go Start > Run > type in the box C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash

Now copy the Flash9.ocx file and then pasted it back in the same directory.
You will have created Copy of Flash9.ocx; rename it to Flash.ocx..
This effectively will give you two files; Flash.ocx and Flash9.ocx, both the same file; although with a different name, in the same directory.

Give this a try and post back with the results.

Kind Regards,

Thanks for the tip but it didn't work.
The file was actually Flash9f.ocx
I made 2 copies. One w/& one w/o the "f" at the end.
I'm still getting the same error.
Any other ideas?

Hi drewdell,

In circumstances such as yours, it is necessary to uninstall and reinstall The Adobe® Flash Player and Active X Control.

This Thread will give you these details. (Click the coloured link.)

Once thats done you will (naturally) need to reinstall the Flash Player™ from here.

When finished with that lot, please post back with the results.

Kind Regards,
