You mean if I only entered the wireless network security password to connect as a user in a network.The network administrator won't be able to copy files from my laptop?.

Hi,
Many times I take my laptop to the company and connect to their wireless connection and printer.But then I observe some strange behaviours from 2 employees.One of them asked me if my printer is connected to their network printer then he went away.Another is an IT employee who always telling me about websites to open my internet wireless connection and then go to his laptop and then return to me...
Does my computer become opened to the network administrator because I joined his network?.If he try to enter my computer does he see the authentication login dialog?.
In another company an employee told me that he can see what employees doing on their laptop when they connect through the internet because he has an administrator account is this true?.
If it is true is there any way to avoid these people from entering our laptop while we are connected through their network?.:4-dontkno
