Hi Nichol

Impossible. The engine is an 8.2 liter (500) with a 450 transmission, the dipstick should be near the firewall. Those are huge transmissions and carry allot of oil in them, if there was no filler tube it would be leaking everywhere. The tube may not be visible at eye level, so look carefully around the transmission housing it should be there. If the car has cruise control there is a diaphragm that is bolted behind the engine block, the dipstick and filler tube could be behind it.

post back your findings.

On older style transmissions from the 80's ,70's when there is oil to be added and there is no dipstick. All 4 wheels are on jack stands with engine running and transmission in drive, oil is then added until it leaks through a small overflow tube on the side of the transmission.

Not just old cars. Some current Toyotas (like my 2009 Tacoma) have "sealed" transmissions and no dip stick. To check the engine must be run until tranny temp is a specific number, like 110 plus or minus a few degrees. Then like Octaneman says there is a check plug where fluid should just trickle out. There is also a fill plug to add if necessary. This is really a PITA and I can't for the life of me understand why any mfg would do this... except to generate service business to do the required periodic checks.
