Here are the basic Specs for computer:
Mobile Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz 1.84GHz, 480 MB of RAM

thats off the computer properties.

If there is a free memory slot then you should be able to add memory with little problem.....looks like you have 512mb of memory there (it shows as 480 because your video probably shares system memory) take the cover off over the memory slots and see if you have a free slot...if you do add another 512 module

Cool. I thought 480 was a weird number.

That laptop will take DDR266 PC2100 RAM DDR 200 pin SO-DIMMs. Download Everest and go into Motherboard > SPD to see if you have two sticks or one installed. Or, just look inside the laptop.

If it has two sticks installed (2 x 256 MB), then you can replace one with a 512 MB stick for 768 MB of RAM or both with 512 MB sticks for 1024 MB.

If it has one stick installed (1 x 512 MB), then you are in luck, and you can just pick up a 512 MB stick and have a total of 1 GB.
