Add/Remove Programs Doesn't Load

My add/remove programs doesn't open at all. There is no error that comes or anything. It just doesn't load. I have suffered from a virus recently and I know it's probably because of that but I have no idea what to do. I do have the Windows XP CD but it isn't the original.
The main reason I need to get into Add/Remove Programs is because my entire drive is full and I need to delete some programs. Is there any other way I can do it properly because the programs that I want to delete do not show the Uninstall icon in the menu.

Does anyone have any ideas?
I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

if you have the windows xp cd, put it on the cdrom and then click on start -> run -> type in "sfc /scannow" without the "". this will check your system files and replace anything is that is corrupt or missing. see if this works out for you.

also you can perform a system restore and see if that helps at all. another thing you can do is to download third party add/remove programs. check out www.majorgeeks.com and download "add remove 4 good". good luck
