I'm running a small test network with a Windows Server 2003 R2 and I'm currently trying to remotely deploy various OSs, Windows mainly. I managed to install WDS and put it into mixed mode so I can deploy both older and newer systems. I'm using VMWare Workstation and the first problem I've run into is the SCSI driver for XP, which I'd like to slipstream into the image instead of having to use a floppy image. I'd also like to be able to add some additional drivers in order to fully automate the installation and install the system + drivers remotely.

Is there a possibility to slipstream HW drivers into a WDS Legacy image (Win XP Pro for example)? I know that I can deploy a legacy system, customize it on the target machine and run RIPrep to get the custom image for further OEM deployment, however I'm not sure how will it look like with the drivers...

I've come accross a tutorial where the author was using some 3rd party app to do that, but having searched for hours I couldn't find it again. From what I remember it was about using Sysprep and then this other sw to include the drivers.

I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance.
