Sorry , I was not clear about my prob. what I am trying to find out (and where to look) is where will i find out what drives my adapter there are no pci cards apart from the modem the monitor is plugged into the motherboard and it is a "TIME" machine, and I cannot get their installation disk to run (setup disk 8) it will not let me install and the adpter shows only STANDARD VGA it was ok until i formatted the harddrive ---- I can take strong language but not harsh words so be kind! I am not doing things right let me start again,
i have a monitor = samsung 55e and have now got the driver (thanks for links) the driver is loaded but the graphics adapter is on board type and only lets me use the 2 or 16 colour and 400 600 pixels in other words it is not allowing me to use the monitor in the higher resolution and i cannot find the name of the on board driver adapter --- you people are really quick with the help though I wish i had found you 3 yearsago Thanks Tony
