I have a wasted space in my notebook. It is called a floppy drive and has not been used in...well, actually it has probably never been used. I have some miscellaneous hardware that I would love to fit into it - a cf card reader, a 802.11n usb nic, bluetooth usb dongle, etc. It is easy enough to pull the floppy drive from the notebook but I am at a loss as to how to connect a new device to the motherboard. Is there an adapter that would let me use the floppy drive cable with a usb device? Any other suggestions? I could probably snake a usb cable from the floppy area (front of the computer) to the usb port in the back (external).

I am already going to upgrade the memory to 1 gb and install a 100 gb 7200 rpm hard drive in it.
