I use Spybot and Adaware - da free good programas almost every week,
and delete hacker programs, from my PC.

Spybot immunizes and takes care that the same stuff does not enter again.
However, I doubt that Lavasoft does that ! Does It ?

Where ? How? Pl. advise me. May be I am missing smthg.

Secondly,
there are add ons, menu on Adaware. What is that? where to get those for free? How to instal it and run efficiently?

How it helps. What should I do?

Hi,

Ad Aware is a scanning program. Neither the free version of the Plus version have any iminisation type feature. Possibly the pro version does, but I'm not using that.

The Plus and Pro versions do have an on access scanner, similar to an Anti Virus scanner which you can have running.

A very good program to help stop this stuff getting on your computer is spywareblaster.

This program can best be though of as write protecting the registry against entries and changes made by the spyware it has in its database, so that it then prevents these changes being made.


It updates regularly and you can then update the protection.


Another good program for removal is Asuared

AdAware Pro includes AdWatch which will stop malware. I have SpyBot Resident, SpyWareGuard and AdWatch sitting in my sys tray. Between them they should stop anything. :grin:

How do I add Add ons?

2. Once it catches malware, how do i block it forever
so it won't come again.

They're not available in the free version I'm afraid. At least not the useful ones. For details of the free plug-ins go to Lavasoft
