I have a Dell Inspiron 8200, running XP Home... When I right click on my desktop there is no option to activate my desktop. There isnt even an option for me to do so if i go to properties.

Any idea's??

Thnx a lot that link worked. I was just wondering why I cant just activate my desktop by right clicking? When I went to the link u provided, it just activates or deactivates my desktop for me. I still cant right click and do it?

Run the System File Checker

Go to the Run box on the Start Menu and type in:

sfc /scannow ( sfc if not reconized)

This command will immediately initiate the Windows File Protection service to scan all protected files and verify their integrity, replacing any files with which it finds a problem. You will need your Windows cd.
