Hello everyone. I'm not really new to USING computers, but I know NOTHING about the internal stuff. I bought an AcerAspire 5520-5142 from a shopping network two years ago. Have had no problems with it. Then I allowed a few games to be downloaded on it and now it says that my disk space is low on C and I must delete files. The D drive however is almost completely empty except for some program it came with. How do I get information to start going to the D drive, or how do I transfer old but needed informatation to the D drive? Please help. Thank you.

whats the windows version you have - XP, vista, w7
Do you have lots of data , like music and videos or photos on the PC -
you can copy all the data across to the D: drive

most programs will want to install on C: drive

Its the data you should be able to copy

you cna move the user account onto the D: drive or just copy the folders across -

have you created you own folders under my documents etc
if so right click on the folder you have made - > copy > then got to the c drive and paste
DO not use CUT - make sure everything is copied corrctly and works - then you can delete the c drive folder

also make sure you have deleted any temp files on the PC
it may be worth using start>programs>accessories>system tools > disk cleanup
to get rid of unused unwanted files
also from internet explorer > tools> internet options> delete the temp files
