Could someone please help me fix my wireless?

It has stopped working completely after I turned it on recently and I am quite sure there is no hardware switch for me to turn off the wireless by accident.

In network connections I have are:

Local Area Connection
Broadcom NetLink (TM) which is what I'm using at the moment after connecting with an ethernet cable.

Local Area Connection 2
Network cable unplugged (this should be wireless shouldn't it?)
Broadcom virtual wireless adapter
When I try to use this through the ethernet cable, it still does not work

Ive tried reinstalling the drivers and am now thoroughly confused, can anyone help?
