So, I have an Acer Aspire 5750(Not a z or g, just 5750) and it runs Windows 7.
About this time last year my webcam stopped working suddenly. Nothing to my knowledge happened to make it stop, I just came home one day and it wouldn't work.
I'm having a hard time finding a driver to install for it, since the Acer website doesn't seem to have one, I uninstalled it and restarted my computer for it to reinstall and that didn't fix the problem. I also used eRecovery and that didn't seem to work either.
Another odd problem is that even the USB webcam's will not work with it, so I'm not entirely sure that the driver is the problem. I've done my fair share of research on this problem and cannot come up with a solution.

maybe the internal WebCam is not working correctly, but the computer thinks that it is so is not allowing any other type of WebCam to work hard to go into device manager and make sure that the internal WebCam is on installed, if not uninstall it restart the computer and see if it works, and get back to me.

I've uninstalled it and when I turn my computer back on, it installs itself again, and it doesn't end up fixing the problem.
