ok this sounds crazy but i have the battery disconnected and no plug into the laptop. This what happens???....i plug the ac jack into the laptop and without pressing the button it turns its self on and then 5 seconds turn its self back off and then turns its self on and boots up. It boots into windows 7 and then it shuts off...sounds kinda weird but my mind is blown by this..Anyone have suggestions why it does this

Your compouter could be set to "Power state on after power failure" which will cause it to automatically power up when re-connected to power after being disconnected.

About the computer shutting itself off...

Does it do this with the battery installed as well?

well i took it apart and put thermal paste on the cpu and have the laptop battery out and just have the ac plugged in. seems like its running ok its been 15 minutes.. waiting to see if it will shut off....so how do i turn off power state on after failure

Did this issue start right after tinkering on the internals?
