Hello all!
I have been having an ongoing issue with my notebook.
After the laptop is on for a while or playing games, all of a sudden pretty much 100% of the CPU is used and everything is really laggy. If music is playing it starts to click or crack, not sure how to describe it. Looking at what is using the CPU with ctrl alt delete or resource moniter sometimes it has audioDG.exe using alot of it but not every time the incident happens. I tried updating sound drivers to see if this would fix the problem but did nothing.
The only way to stop the lag of doom is to restart the computer. The strange thing that happens if i restart during lag is that it wont restart, it just goes through the regular acer boot screens then when its time to load windows there is just a blinking underscore in top left corner. underscore of doom.
so from here i hold the power button in to force a shut down then power on as usual.
When on usually the lag comes back quicker then it did previously.
Im not sure if this is a VISTA issue with some type of incompatabilities with some hardware or sound drivers or if it is a hardware issue that may be from my laptop being too hot or a non working fan or something like that.
any comments or suggestions as to what might be the problem / how to fix it.
thanks
