Hi,

I have 2 computers connected to my LAN. One machine is a win98 and the other is a dual boot win2000 server / Linux machine. If I am logged on to my win98 machine and the Linux operating system, how can I get access to files on my win2000 server if it is offline?

If the filesystem that W2K is running on is FAT32, mount it as a volume with Linux, and you can access the files.

AFAIK, Linux does not have a full NTFS file handler, but maybe someday. I hear of a read-only NTFS driver, but that's probably not all that useful.

One option is to convert the volume to FAT32, Partition Magic will do that for you. :)
