I have just joined the forum and have seen questions relating to this issue. However, I cannot see a solution. I've see Microsoft support suggestios to disable content adviser or restoring advanced settings but neither of these work. Please help!

Hello scottfree and welcome to TSF,

In Vista this service can be slightly annoying lol
On some websites the link to the download file is hidden in the link name or can be hidden in the icon file or image, Try selecting around the area.

Also alot of people are finding that when they select the link name or image on 'Left' click its simpy given them the option to 'Save' or 'Run'

Try the above but please update me

Regards

Thanks. Trying around the area of the link does't work either. Until I can find a solution I am having to send my emails to a Windows XP PC where I can use the 'save target as' function. But this is most inconvenient. I hope Microsoft can come up with a solution because it seems so many people are haing the same problem as me.
