Access 2000 connectivity

I have a coworker that is having problems linking to forms through switchboards. It literally takes a couple minutes to open a form. I have tried everything from installing cacheman to regulate ram to refreshing the links in the database. The computer is a fast machine - P4 1.6 ghz with 512mb pc100 ram. Anyone have any ideas on how I can get Access to run a little smoother?
