okay so recently my laptop charger ac cable somehow stopped working, the light on the power supply doesn't light up when its plugged in. however, when i tried the cable that came with my sister's laptop (different model) the charger worked perfectly. I just want to ask if it's safe or not to use her charger.

Extra information:
Power supply Input: 100-240V~2.5A 50/60Hz Output: 19V 4.74A
AC cable that stopped working and came with charger: 10A 300V
My sister's AC cable: 2.5A 250V

By the way, I bought the laptop charger from eBay, maybe that's why it broke already...

Look at the bottom of the laptop on the sticker and get the correct power ratings.

It is recommended to use a compatible charger.

Thanks for the reply.

What i'm trying to change is just the AC cable, not the laptop charger, which is completely compatible with my current laptop as specified on the manufacturers site.
