i want to increase my FPS in dalaran to 60 stable (im having 30-40 fps in dala). i dont have problem in other areas including AV and 25 man raids...

my spec are:
amd phenom II x2 555 black ed.
geforce gts 450 ddr5
2gb ram
window 7 ultimate..

i know i have a low ram, so my question is, does ram really improve my FPS?
and if i set the shadow option to max i lose fps, then yeah do i really need to add ram? is my prcessor and GFX enough?

thanks

Adding memory may help with loading but I don't think it will have any affect on your frame rate. Shadows will kill the FPS in WoW so I would keep it on low. Upgrading the video card would probably show the biggest improvement but that's going to be expensive.
Don't know if that will ever happen because it's Dalaran. I have 4GB of RAM, a quad-core CPU and an overclocked 3870 and it still lags in Dal.

so yeah that means dalaran is the problem not my rig right? thansk btw
Dalaran is just intense, period. My wife's quad-core with a 4870 also lags there. Disabling shadows as suggested can really make a huge difference overall.
i see... so when your wife plays wow she disables shadow entirely?
Not entirely, it's about 1 tick above basic shadows. Even turned all the way down there's some lag.
oh dang i love the view of some shadows in certain places in azeroth.. well il try to do 1 tick above basic shadows and see the difference.. thanks man... its a big help!
1 tick is still pretty but won't murder performance. The new look of WoW does make good use of the effect!
i now have a new problem with freezing....
Is it a temporary freeze or complete? What is the power supply in your PC?
its a temporary freezing... i think my psuply is 550watts...
FSP Supersonic 500w 80PLUS

this is the power supply its 500 watts and the max is 550 i think..
Unfortunately I can't convert the currency but just the look makes me leery of the quality. That may be the whole issue right there.
hmmm its 2k php so in us dollar its like 40 bucks more or less
That'd make me want to avoid it. When it comes to power supplies price often directly relates to quality as the cost of the components is proportionate to the quality of them.
so its low quality isnt it? right?
