Ive got a red vcc light on Abit IS7-E2 motherboard, ive got power to the graphics card cos the fan on the graphics card is spinning, i power up the computer the monitor tries to switch on but goes back to standby, does this twice and then i get a beep lasting 5 seconds, dont know what is wrong, ive fitted well over 100 motherboards in my time never come across this problem before any help .

Check the beep code in your manual and it will tell you what the beep means.

ok purchased new motherboard and power supply and still no joy whats going on. cant be the RAM works in my old mother board.
