Hey. I really hope that you can help me.
I have an Segate SATA hd in my computer and now i want to format but windows cant find it in the instal menu where i shall choose the hd where i will install xp.

So now i have tryed with thees to drivers

Promise SATA378 Driver V1.00.0.26 for Windows 98SE/NT4.0/ME/2000/XP/2003 (959.32 (KBytes)

and
Promise FastTrak 378 RAID Driver V1.00.1.37 for Windows 98SE/NT4/ME/2000/XP/2003
-nt4 -Windows NT4 miniport driver 1.00.1.37.
-win2000 -Windows 2000 miniport driver 1.00.1.37 WHQL.
-98-me -Windows 98-ME miniport driver 1.00.1.37.
-winxp -Windows XP miniport driver 1.00.1.37 WHQL.
-win2003 -Windows 2003 miniport driver 1.00.1.37 WHQL.
-MakeDisk -Make Promise RAID driver floppy for Windows NT4/2000/XP/2003.

(1.41 (MBytes)

But it dosent work.
Im running my xp now on the sata hd. Me and my brother cant remember how we got it to work.
In bios the sata is set to Default IDE controler (is this right) not RAID right?

When it ask for the disk (A) i inset the disk and it loads but cant find it :(
On my moutherboard it is on the SATA1.

Can you plz help me.
I have searced google and this forum.

Do you have the SATA driver diskette? If you do, then when windows installation starts, hold down the F6 key. It will take you into installing the drivers for the SATA drive. ONce the drivers are installed, windows will recognise it and you can continue to install.
