A windows update issue

my problem is this. I updated my computer through window update. I notice a program that I did not recognize it. It is windows search 4.0, since it was installed I have nothing but problems with my computer. I has been freezing up my computer my browser. I use Firefox and I tried to use IE(latest version) -I use this to play several games on zylom. This is because Firefox for some reason won't load them, and it causes the browser to load slowly or freeze? is it safe to remove it from computer?

windows search 4.0 is just a search indexer for your computer to optimize searching, it can easily be removed by going to start>control panel>add and remove programs and scrolling all the way to the bottom to see windows search 4.0 and clicking remove, if your computer is freezing up and such there might be some malware or a virus in your computer, i doubt windows search would cause freezing and slow browser speeds
