1st concern...
When I try to delete (right click/delete) a folder that I created in My Documents, I get this message..."Cannot delete 01KEEP~1.wma:Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name." The folder is empty.

2nd concern...
When I try to 'drag & drop' a specific file (AdKiller) in My Documents into a folder, a shortcut is created in the target folder for the file. The file will not move.

Haven't seen either of these to issues before and have no idea what the problem is. Neither file is 'Read-only' protected. Thanks for any help.

Right click on the file and drag and drop. When you do it this way, you should get a pop up menu that asks if you want to move, copy, or create shortcut.

For the other problem, do you have the folder options to show all files - hidden and system?

2nd problem...As I suspected it was simple and something I probably should have known, but I've never had to do it that way. Thanks.

1st problem...I was wrong. There are still files in there. But I can go through 3 levels of folders all the way to the 'bottom-most' files and can't delete anything. I keep unchecking the 'Read only" box and it rechecks. I've tried this on all levels of the folders/files.
At the 'bottom-most' ( I'm sure there is a better term for those...Perhaps root or target ?) files, when I right click I only get the option to Play,Open, Add to playlist,Copy, Open with, or Send to. No delete option.

I'm sure that once again I'm just missin' it, but this is making me crazy. Thanks for your help and please excuse my ignorance to the proper terminology.

Nevermind. I finally got it. I had to start at the bottom, moving each individual file out of its folder and into My Documents. Everything deleted ok there. Thanks!
