A Question for Android 12, Home screen, an annoying Bubble,...

881 Views 20 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  spunk.funk
My phone is Koo Bee, K 100, SL004T Model,... 16 GB, 4G, T-Mobile via assurance wireless,
A Chinese make, with No support US phone no. ( using Android 12 )

As shown in picture, A floating APP ( right edge of phone - Two arrow symbol of Team Viewer )
is annoying and that goes either up and down in left edge or right edge of the phone,... it does not come in middle as steady. Can't get rid of it !

Pressing long or tapping it, it does nothing.
Shows NO 'App info', Uninstall,.. Trash can to dump,.....nor any such....

Need to get rid of it.

My server's out-sourcing tech people ( assurance wireless phone ) , are not that smart to know it ( Manila, Philippines' mediocre staff )

How to remove it, or pacify/calm down it to make it disappear?

Picture : { App, in Right edge of the phone, with " Two arrows and a Jigsaw piece in corner " - Team viewer symbol - a Floating Bubble )

Might mean a system update is available.
If you9 go to All Apps, is it listed, can you disable or remove it from there? Remove Apps That Phone Won't Let You Uninstall
^ No
I think, .....it has nothing to do with any available updates, nor any handy, working application App related, quick facilitated icon or such...

It is a copy of existing Team viewer's App on the home screen, you see there.

Anyway,.....

I tried to completely uninstall the application with both of its icons, related to " Team viewer" ( as you see on my new home screen in below pic ) and this floating bubble App still resides...!! UH .

( I went to APPs and Uninstalled both applications , ( by pressing ' uninstall ' button ) and not just by simply thrashing the icon in Trashbin from the home screen ) And yess,... I Rebooted from fresh Power OFF.

what i would do is save what you want and do a factory reset on the phone.
Just before trying Mike's solution, see if clearing the cache helps.
Cleaning junk Cookies, Caches,..- is no help,...
Delete unused Apps - is not showing it,....
Installed CCleaner - no help

I may not choose the re-format option ever, as I am not Cell expert and it has took me 3-5+ ppls' tech help for days,..to slowly and surely copying the old phone, building it and making the Cell in my environment,... for sigin, e-mail, textnow, weather icon and WA, Contacts, and many such small-big aspects,..... per my way...

Problem solved.

A day later, by the phone itself, ( Perhaps I had uninstalled two Apps of team viewer , two days ago,.. ? ) , a mssg came on home screen,
I clicked it,.
and turned off two things,.....
and it's gone now,..... ( perhaps, it was a short cut and silent feature of Android 12 or Team viewer ! )

Oh ! I was previously checking on regular setting icon and under that, the Wifi/Networking and such,.....and was not finding any,..

But nonetheless,..... now I clicked on phone icon, then 3 dots in upper right, and then "settings",...then "calls"
and am trying to look around,... can't find the wi-fi calling feature.
Perhaps my service does not provide it,.. need to talk to them to clarify,....

^ The problem with all outsourcing calls is,.. they( almost most of ) are now a days,...routed thro'/to Manila Philippines staff, who have zero knowledge of anything. Most of them who are sitting over there, I bet,...have not passed even their 2nd grades. Whenever you talk to either for Dell, Microsoft.obihai, Hauppauge, Maxtor, WDC, ooma, Adobe, Samsung, Assurance, , Notron, Motorola, and almost for so many makes, the Manila staff is nthg but the pain, a real pain,.....including their supervisors. They all belong to non-expertise and almost zero knowledge. I have tons of bitter experiences in many of the above Company's related questionnaires, ( been burnt for years ) phone calls, when they R routed, there.

1+ hrs of verification, ( need to tell each thingies -- phone nos, e-mail, name, ICCID, IMEI , at least 10 times ,. and,.. then even would write wrong.. ) then transfer to other o guys,... put you on music( for long time) , run away for lunch , hung ups,.... and technical knowledge NIL. I have bitter experiences during Dell PC warranties, they all R totally non-knowledgeable, so called Tech persons. To activate this phone i had to talk 10+ ppl - al l guided me all wrong things, about sim cards, opening of back cover, and unbelievable wrong advice, it's simply a torture when Philippines says we are Technical person and what we can do for you. I know this sounds like a harsh, off-topic bashing and mud-slinging but I am telling from my years of experiences with so many 10s of people. I hav enever seen any community of rest of teh any nations, with that much below IQ lots, when someone says themselves as Tech expertise. Sigh !

I simply avoid them, even if the product is under warranty, as the Tech support becomes the biggest joke there.

aussurance talk concludes that, .. it's not the service company nor the Android language , but the phone - it's make itself determines,..
, which whether or not allows for the Wi-Fi callings
and perhaps your phone does not have that facility.
Both the phone and service provider MUST provide this feature. If the phone is capable of it, the service company must also provide such a service for you to be able to use it. If they don't even know what wi-fi calling is, they probably don't provide it.
