A little VPN help
Sorry to ask, but I could use a little guidance.
I have a windows 7 desktop with VPN set up using PPTP. The fairly standard router is set to port forward both VPN and SSH ports to the Windows PC that runs the VPN server (SSH is for tunnelled RDP) My devices (macbook and iphone) connect to the VPN.
From my work I can acivate the VPN, then connect to my router at its IP address of 192.168.1.254. I cannot ping my main desktop at its IP address (192.168.x.x), nor can I smb://ipaddress from the Mac. I can establish an RDP connection to the desktops IP address with the VPN established, even though I cannot ping it or see its shares.
All I want is to be able to access the Windows shares from my Mac when at work.
