A good reliable HDD!?!?

Is there such a thing???

Currently pricing items for a new system and previously Iv'e bought Western Digital HDD's and after numerous problems with them, I'm considering looking elsewhere..

So guys, gimme ur opinions.... Do I go for Seagate, Maxtor, Hitachi or any of the others??

I'm also looking for a router too for a cable modem... any ideas there??? (I'm planning on buying online and as I'm a UK resident, any rock solid advice on wot to buy from fellow residents would be appreciated AS WELL as advice from everyone else)

Many Thanks

Rob

wd's was the thing for me for a long time. Im kinda partial to maxtors
these days, just mho..
Hi,

I like the Maxtors and the Western Digital drives. Both have been reliable for me. I would guess that WD is the best drive on the regular market today.
WD and Seagate hard drives are the ones to go for IMO. But remember that all magnetic storage drives are prone to failure, the most stable form of memory is flash memory. The only problem is that it cannot be used in large capacities in the same amount of space as hard drives.
