8800GTS or Gigabyte Mobo PCI-Ex16 failure???

My video display went dark giving me a 'cannot detect' message on my lcd. I took out the 8800GTS and reconnected to my on board ATI x1250 and the display worked, and after drivers look pretty good lol. Here is where i know just enough to be dangerous... to be safe before i unhooked the 8800 i pulled the battery from the Mobo. (didn't fix the prob) sooo i am stuck with the onboard for now...thing is my network adapter is not even showing up anymore...i am now wondering if maybe my PCI-Ex16 port thing inst fried (because the network adapter seems to be...) on a maybe-related issue my power supply might be a cause of all this ruckuss as it maxes at 400W....here is my setup
