I used to have a geforce 7300 LE and it played DVDs very well. Then I changed it for a BFG 8600 gts OC. I only used it once to play a DVD, and everything went perfect. But yesterday, I tried to play a DVD and suddenly the machine freezed. Then, a blue screen appeared saying that Windows had been shutted down to avoid errors because of a problem. The file nv4_disp.dll was identified as the one that caused the problem, but I also got this error message:
STOP: 0x0000008e (0x0000005, 0xBF2AD385, 0XA82FCB2C, OXOOOOOOOO).
I rebooted the machine and tried again, but same thing happenned. I was using forceware 169.21, so I updated to the newest one, 175.16 and tried again, but same thing happenned again. I uninstalled and then reinstalled the driver using Driver Cleaner 3 and a registry cleaner to help clear everything before installing the driver again, but the problem is still there. Can anyone please tell me what's wrong and why do I need to do? I really need some help. Thanks!
