which build is the best?
this is for gaming + everyday life
Build 1;
**Mobo- Gigabyte EP43-UD3L - 155$
**Ram : 4G Kit-800(2x2G) Kingston = 74$
**Case + PS : Antec NSK 4480B-II = 137$
**VGA:1GB 9500GT /Inno3D : 84$
**DVD : SATA Samsung = 28$
**HDD = WD “AV” SATA 320G = 78
**Processor : E8400 3.0GHZ = 255$

Alternate Build 1 with
VGA: 1GB 9800GT ECS - 132$
Total = 929$


Build 2;

**Mobo - ASUS P5Q-SE2 - 169$
**Ram : 4GB Kit(2x2G)DDR2 1066 Kingston - 89$
**Case + PS : Antec NSK6580 - 159$
**VGA : 1GB HD 4670 /Gigabyte - 127$
**DVD : SATA Samsung - 28$
**HDD : WD "AV" SATA 320G - 78$
**Processor :E7400 2.8gHZv - 182$

Alternate Build 2 with E8400 3.0gHZ - 255$ = 905$

These are AUD, prices mind you, and im buying from a store, so theres sorta limited stock.

Cheers. my budget is basically 1000$ aud, but it would be good to get a half good gaming pc.

Sorry to disagree, oldjoe :smile: but I'd go for Build 3 (with a few alterations). It has a good quality mobo, CPU and RAM, and the 9800GT will be better for games than the other 2 cards.

The Antec cases would be better than the Apevia which, as far as I can tell, comes with a generic 500W PSU. Do you have the option of going for separate case and PSU?

My reasoning was the Antec cases and PSU's plus the Asus MOBO.
I would have to alter any of the above builds somewhat
i.e. The Kingston RAM-Samsung DVDRW would certainly have to be replaced.
