Running Windows Server 2003 on my Poweredge 2650 as a home NAS. Has 2 pairs of mirrored 1TB drives on the CERC PCIX card and a single SCSI boot drive on PERC card.

At some point, I have become unable to log into my network shares using the root admin UN/PW from either my Mac or my Win7 media machine. However, I can RDP into the machine using same credentials.

I have checked, double checked, and triple checked the folder sharing permissions, even added a secondary admin user that also does not work. Is there something else that I need to look at?

Also, I get an SSL error when connecting to OMSA from localhost?

Thanks

So this is most interesting....I was able to pull the shares up on my android using ES file explorer...using the same SMB:\\192.168.1.249 as I'm using on mac.

And now i can get on throught he computers. apparently it was a service issue. All I did was go into "manage this server", and remove the "media streaming service" role, leaving only the file server role. Strange.
