I want to upgrade my monitor from a 19" to a 24" and keep my existing hard drive (operating system version 5.1.2600, processor: Intel(R) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU [email protected]). Problem: What 24" monitor can I purchase with a cable end to connect to my existing hard drive?

I ordered a Dell 24" monitor last summer but the cable end did not fit my hard drive and I had to return it.

I am using the Dell E525w printer.

Thanks.

By Hard Drive do you mean computer?
There are basically 3 types of connectors that a monitor and computer use, if you have a Video card, and the monitor and video card are a little newer you will have an HDMI connector to connect to an LCD TV or Monitor, or the standard Blue VGA plug, on the back of a desktop computer or you may have a White DVI port. (See Attached) All new Dell 24" Monitors should have all three connectors. (see attached) You can use the proper cable to connect to your monitor, or you can get an adapter.

Great please tell us if you are plugging your monitor into the onboard Blue VGA on the back of the computer, are you using a Video Card with any of the previous mentioned inputs? (see Attached) And please clear up when you say connect to existing Hard Drive, if what you really mean is Computer.
