I'm looking to replace the struts on my 03 cavalier (2.2 ecotech) and I picked up 2 struts out of an 05 sunfire but they are 6 coil and the cavalier has 5 coil. Is it possible to still use the 6 coil and be able to align the wheel?

Also what is the point of the 2 designs? Seems kind of pointless.
